In the end, “Their Lives Mattered” is a call for all of us to pay attention, to care, and to work towards solutions that can make life better for everyone in our communities. It’s tough stuff, but it’s so important for us to understand and talk about.

Every Black Life Matters firmly believes that transparency in government communication is essential to a healthy democracy. However, EBLM also recognizes the significant risks associated with the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act, especially when applied without rigorous safeguards.

One of the biggest threats to election integrity today is the push to allow non-citizens to participate in our elections. Voting is not just a simple act; it’s a sacred right and responsibility central to the social contract of citizenship. Only citizens, bound by U.S. laws and accountable to them, should wield the right to vote.

Every Black Life Matters (EBLM) stands against all acts of evil and injustice. Irrespective of the “reason,” (i.e., lack of training, “racism,” lax hiring policies, poor psychological screenings, etc.), excessive force that prompts acts of police brutality is unjust. Evil acts committed by people trusted with tremendous power and authority are unacceptable and must be confronted and corrected. We pray all officers involved in Tyre’s death will receive their due maximum punishment. We also pray for the Nichols family and friends as they endure this sudden unnecessary loss, deep sorrow, and extreme grief.

Rasmussen polls recently confirmed that over two-thirds of Black voters (approx. 70%) support voter ID laws. Black voters understand that voter fraud undermines black voices; this is the most prevalent form of voter disenfranchisement. When black voices are silenced, all “Black life” is damaged in general.
