The core issue is policy in place that allows our border to be a revolving door for anyone who wants to come here. It could be a single mothers with children but it could also be criminals, drug dealers or even murderers and terrorists.

“A Missouri police officer was killed by a suspect authorities believe to be an illegal alien on Sunday, Sept. 22.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police officer David Lee died after being hit by a car on I-70 while responding to a separate incident along the interstate. The driver of the vehicle, Ramon Chavez-Rodriguez, was reportedly intoxicated at the time and driving without a license. He was also travelling at 18mph over the 55mph speed limit when he lost control of the car, according to a court affidavit.” [wokespy.com]
Learning of the tragic death of this police officer really hit home for me. I lost a family member to a hit and run driver who was an illegal alien. After he committed the crime he fled back to Mexico never to be heard from or seen again.
I remember the phone call we received from law enforcement where my mother answered the phone. I saw her knees nearly buckle when she got the news and called out to my father. I remember the coroner’s office calling for us to come and identify our loved one’s remains. The news rocked our family as he was my brother in law and had been an integral part of our family.
As we learned more about the assailant we were told that he was not legally in the country. Detectives informed us during their investigation he had no license or insurance and fled rather than give a full account of what took place and a hearing.
Once I got over the shock I began to think about what could have been. If he had not been able to illegally cross the border at will my family member would still be alive. He would see his children grow up, get married and have children.
I began to think about what policies were in place or not in place that allowed non citizens to roam freely across our borders. I learned that there is little law enforcement is doing to stem the tide because of federal and local policy.
The core issue is policy in place that allows our border to be a revolving door for anyone who wants to come here. It could be a single mothers with children but it could also be criminals, drug dealers or even murderers and terrorists.
The death of my brother in law took place nearly 20 years ago. But the misplaced policies of an open border which led to his death are still in effect today. And those policies have taken yet another life with the tragic death of this police officer.
We know today that the democrat party has an agenda to keep the borders open because they are courting a new voting bloc. As more and more Black Americans vacate their party the illegals are poised by them to fill that vacancy. That is why illegals are offered EBT cards, healthcare, housing, etc.
I wonder why there is no outcry from the Black Lives Matter organization leadership since the police officer was Black. But then again I can recall no time that they ever spoke up when other Black Police officers have succumbed to violence while on duty and died.
I still mourn the death of my family member. His loss leaves a significant hole in our family. And I extend the most sincere condolences to the family of the police officer who lost his life.
We must end the foolishness of open borders in America. We are the only nation in the world that has this insane policy and lives are lost because of it.
